Calcium Gluconate

 

What is it? 

Calcium Gluconate is used in cosmetics as a binder and humectant. It is also used in the process of purification of wastewater. In medicine, it is used for certain pathologies related to calcium deficiency. Under the name E578, in food, it serves as a gelling agent and acidity regulator. 

Calcium is an essential mineral for the body. A small amount of research shows calcium gluconate may be a good skin-soothing and restorative agent when applied topically.
